Our Fiesseler Storch FI-156 kit plane is a 82% replica of the original airplane flown by General Rommel in Africa, which was used to extricate Mussolini from prison on the Italian mountain of Gran Sasso. Available as a 49% or RTF (ready to fly) kit plane, the Storch takes off in only 66ft and doesn't need prepared runway for take off or landing. It is constructed of high-quality aviation materials and its flight characteristics are proven and tested by aeronautical engineers. This 82% scale homebuilt aircraft is fun to fly and fun to build.
The FI-156 was an Airplane designed in Germany in 1935 by Dr. Gerhard Fieseler. In that same year, the reputation of his company for having built the first light STOL airplane was firmly established.
