The USA Demonstrator FI-156

arrived in Miami on March 31st, via Air Cargo in a specially constructed container, which allowed it to require minimal disassembly. This aircraft will be going to our Titusville, FL maintenance base, where it will be reassembled, test-flown and taken to the 2007 Sun'nFun Expo in Lakeland, Florida from April 17th to 23rd. The aircraft will be on display at the Light Aircraft Section of the show

This aircraft is 82% scale of the original Storch size, built with drawings and plans obtained directly in Germany and with certified aeronautical materials. Its stall characteristics and performance were authenticated by aeronautical engineers. For the design, operation, and quality assurance, the following standards were followed: ASTM F 2245- 04, F 2295-03 and F2279-03 for "Light Sport Airplanes" aircraft category.

Specifications


Specifications are estimated by engineering projections, and are subject to revision upon completion of flight test program. They are based on the Rotax 912 ULS 100 h.p. engine, with a two-bladed propeller, Sea Level and max gross take-off weight.
